Lobivia Prestoana
Origian and Habitat: Southern Bolivia and Northern Argentina
Description: Also known as Echinopsis cinnabarina or Lobivia cinnabarina. The species occurs in pre-Puna and on rocky lands within shrubby vegetation in seasonally dry inter-Andean valleys. It is a small cactus with a much flattened usually solitary body (sometimes forms small few branched clumps).
Sun Exposure: Need a bright exposure. Full sun or half shade in summer.
Waterings: Water regularly in summer but be careful to not overwater. It needs well draining soil. Keep rather dry in winter.
Blooming Habits: Flowers are scarlet to deep red.
Hardiness: It is quite frost resistant if kept dry (hardy to -12° C). USDA Hardiness Zones 10a,10b and 11.
